This morning was a great morning! We have all awaken to with the news of a 3DS XL, 2 awesome demos are available now on 3DS eShop and the announcement for some new games. Here’s a few highlights from the Nintendo Direct video.
New 3DS XL
According to Nintendo we’ve all been asking for the 3DS to have a bigger screen, now how correct this is I’m unsure but it was always going to happen. Nintendo have announced the 3DS XL which will be launched on the 28th July 2012. Featuring a screen which is 90% larger and a better battery to keep you gaming for longer. Whats disappointing is the fact it still only has 1 thumbstick…. personally I think it’s a silly mistake. But that’s not all, the 3DS XL will have different colours, it will be available in Silver + Black, Red + Black and Blue + Black.
New Demos on 3DS eShop
Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop and TheRhythm Final Fantasy Demos now available in 3DS eShop. Only 1 thing to say about this announcement…. go download them both!
Bluetooth Keyboard for 3DS and other bluetooth compatible devices
To be released with Pokémon: Typing Adventure it’s not your standard Pokemon adventure. You’ll need to type to catch them all and achieve the highest score. It’s a great idea to help people with spelling but I’m not sure one for the hardcore gamers to pick up…..
Professor Layton on the 3DS
New trailer showing us what to expect for the latest edition to Professor Layton series, includes a younger Hershel.
New Super Smash Bros
Masahiro Sakurai will be taking the lead once again to bring us the next installment in the Super Smash Bros Series. Nintendo have also joined forces with Namco Bandi so they can truly create the best Super Smash Bros with ever seen. It’s being developed for 3DS and Wii U which currently has no release date set. No gameplay was shown but with a confirmed announcement I’m sure it wont be too long until we see what they’ve been working on.
