A user on YouTube going by the name of freddiew (Freddie Wong) has posted a video of ‘Real-Life’ Call of Duty action entitled ‘Future First Person Shooter’. Impressively, it has achieved over 800,000 in just one day of being posted onto the site on 22nd December. This video has definitely gone viral!
The concept is that as FPS game graphics continue to enhance towards real-life this is eventually what CoD may look like if the trend towards reality continues – and Activision continue to lead the way in the FPS genre. To be fair, the idea is not a new one as there are already plenty of videos on YouTube that try to emulate CoD gameplay with real-life footage overlayed with a CoD hud, sound-effects etc. This new one by freddiew is easily the best quality I’ve seen yet though. The presentation and effects are superb with brilliant audio and video effects (check out the blood). The whole thing has been done with great attention to detail, right down to the killcams.
There’s even a bit of humour in there too…gotta love the effort of the guy running with pistols towards where he’s just seen a sniper camping. The victorious crouch-stand-crouch-stand over the corpse of a player he just knifed (aka tea-bagging) is very funny.
Oh and share it on Facebook, Twitter etc. Let’s do what we can to get this video featured on YouTube. These guys deserve it.
